      <title>STATE CUP CHAMPS!</title>

        <![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #ffff00"><span style="font-size: 10px"><strong>Monday, May 7, 2012</strong>---Sereno won more State Cup titles over the weekend&nbsp;than any other Arizona club despite the fact that some of our top ECNL&nbsp;girls teams did not participate in the event.&nbsp; The <strong>94 Boys White</strong>, <strong>95 Boys White</strong>, and <strong>96 Girls White </strong>all brought home the Arizona State Cup&nbsp;trophy!&nbsp; The 96 Girls White&nbsp;defeated arch rival Sc Del Sol 4-1 in a physical and thrilling match giving the girls their <strong>6th straight </strong>State Cup Championship.&nbsp; The 95 Boys White also knocked off arch rival Sc Del Sol 1-0 in a hard faught match giving the boys&nbsp;their 2nd straight title.&nbsp; Finally, the 94 Boys White won their <strong>4th straight </strong>title with a win 3-1 win over the Blackhawks.&nbsp;The 99 Girls White, 99 Boys White, and 97 Boys White all took 2nd place, the 00 Boys White West took 3rd while both the 00 Boys White Tucson and the 96 Boys White South finished 4th. <strong>The following teams will be participating at Regionals in June here in PHOENIX: 94 BW, 95 BW, 97 BW, and 96 GW.&nbsp; Sereno has the potential for 2 more state cup&nbsp;titles with the 93 boys and girls playing over Memorial Day Weekend.&nbsp; </strong>Congratulations to all the&nbsp;teams for all their hard work and dedication!&nbsp; Thank you to all the&nbsp;parents and fans&nbsp;that made the drive to Casa Grande to support the teams.&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;</span></p>]]>

      <title>Sereno Success Continues....</title>

        <![CDATA[<p>May 2, 2012---Sereno will have 9 teams competing in this weekend&rsquo;s State Cup semi-finals hosted at the Grande Sports World in Casa Grande.&nbsp; The following&nbsp;boys teams will&nbsp;be competing:&nbsp; 94WB, 95WB, 96WB South, 97WB, 99WB,&nbsp;00WB West, and 00WB Tucson.&nbsp; The 96GW and 99GW will also be competing this weekend.&nbsp; There were 24 teams that represented SERENO in&nbsp;State Cup of which 20 made it to&nbsp;the quarter-finals.&nbsp; The 94 ECNL Girls, 97 ECNL Girls, and 98 ECNL girls did not compete in State Cup due to ECNL scheduling conflicts.         <![CDATA[<p><span style="font-size: 11px; "><span style="text-align: left; ">The number #1 selling  sports newspaper in Portugal <strong>&quot;A Bola&quot;</strong> (The Ball) featured Brooks Lennon, a  U15 national team player on the front cover. Lennon was in Portugal for a tryout  with the Academy at <strong>Sporting</strong> <strong>Lisbon</strong> after previously spending a week with the  Academy at Aston Villa. Lennon was delighted with the opportunity to show his  skills to the Academy.&nbsp;</span><span _mce_style="font-size: 12pt;">Our own coach, <strong>Joao Bento</strong>,  introduced Brooks to the&nbsp;Academy&nbsp;Director at Sporting Lisbon after he  coordinated for Brooks to spend time last year with <strong>Vitoria Guimaraes</strong>&nbsp;in  Portugal. The Vitoria Guimaraes Coach told Bento he would sign Brooks anytime.  At the end of the week with Sporting Lisbon, the Academy invited him to&nbsp;stay for  two more weeks, because of school constraints Brooks was unable to stay  longer&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; but will be returning in four weeks to continue training. Bento&rsquo;s  connections in Portugal contacted him after watching Brooks train and said he  reminds them of a young Cristiano Ronaldo, the way Brooks runs, attacks and  beats the defenders.</span></span></p>]]>

      <title>Sereno 96 ECNL Team Invited to Schwan's USA Cup</title>

        <![CDATA[<p><strong>Schwan&rsquo;s USA Cup</strong> is the greatest international youth soccer tournament in the western hemisphere. In 2011 it showcased more than 940 teams and 14,000 soccer players from 20 states and 17 countries. The 96 Girls ECNL Team has been invited to participate in the PUMA vs Elite Division. The winning girls team will be traveling to Europe for a trip to work with Sweden&rsquo;s famous Umea IK women&rsquo;s side. Umea has won seven Swedish Championships since 2000 and have won the UEFA Women&rsquo;s Champions League twice while serving as runner-up three times. That event will serve as a warm-up for the CONCACAF Under-17 Women&rsquo;s World  Cup Qualifying tournament in Guatemala from May 2-13. This past week, Miller took part in a domestic training camp in Sunrise, Fla.,  during which 24 players were evaluated over a pair of friendly victories against  Germany. At the upcoming CONCACAF qualifier, the finalists and third-place match  winner will qualify for the 2012 FIFA Under-17 Women&rsquo;s World Cup which will take  place from Sept. 22-Oct. 13 in Azerbaijan.&nbsp;</p>]]>

Also, current 94 players signed National Letters of Intent February 1, 2012: Aly DeRonde (Nevada), Alix Williams (Nevada), Lucy Lara (ASU), Courtney Chung (NAU), Katie Boyle (ELON), Jenn Stuart (CSU Fullerton), Kim Smith (Missouri State), Sydney Tomlinson (Cincinnati), and Shelby Oelschlager (Valparaiso). &nbsp;In addition, the future looks bright for up and coming players who have been selected to attend National Camps in the coming weeks: Cassie Miller (95), Jorian Baucom (96) and Jalen Tompkins (97). Rick showed a quiet dignity and strength through his battle with cancer.  He will be genuinely and dearly missed by everyone.       <title>Sereno SC Earns 11 Arizona State Championships</title>

        <![CDATA[<p style="text-align: center;"><img width="479" height="152" alt="" src="http://www.serenosoccer.com/imgs/about/regular_lockuplogo.jpg" /></p><p>Phoenix, AZ - In 2011, Sereno Soccer Club teams won 8 of 16 <a href="http://events.gotsport.com/events/Default.aspx?eventid=15362">Arizona State Cup Championship</a> titles and 3 <a href="http://events.gotsport.com/events/Default.aspx?eventid=15908"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Presidents Cup Championship</span></a>  titles.&nbsp; Sereno teams included the 11 Champions, 6 Finalists and 7  Semifinalists.&nbsp; A Sereno team finished in the Top 3 in every age group  available and in 4 ages we placed 2 teams in the Top 4.&nbsp; Sereno  SC will send 10 teams into the Far West Region Championships to represent  Arizona.&nbsp; Regional Championships are not available for our U-11 Boys  and Girls State Champions. &nbsp;Congratulations and Good Luck at the <a href="http://www.regioniv.com/regional.htm">2011 US Youth Soccer Region IV Championships</a>!&nbsp; Our <a href="http://www.serenosoccer.com/champions/2011champions/index_E.html">2011 Champions Page</a> and <a href="http://www.serenosoccer.com/champions/2010champions/index_E.html">2010 Champions Page</a> are available for photos and more details.</p>]]>
