Costa Mesa, CA -  The stat book on competitive soccer shows that California teams win more national, regional and open tournaments than anyone.  Fortunately, the Sereno 2001 Boys White team, it's coaches and parents forgot to read that book as the 2001BW team won the Slammers Futbol Classic this weekend against several of the top teams in Cal South. The boys were crowned champions of the U10 bracket on Sunday after a 4-1 victory over Anaheim United FC. The boys had an impressive 33 goals for and only 2 goals scored against on the weekend. The squad is now 14-0 when playing in California and has won three consecutive California tournaments, including the 2009 Carlsbad Cup and 2010 Nomads Coaches Showcase.  Congratulations boys!
