Prescott, AZ - The First Sereno-Chelsea Soccer Camp concluded on Friday July 16th with a medal ceremony for individual achievements and to the winners of a fun “World Cup Team Challenge”. The exclusive 6-day camp brought four Chelsea FC International coaches to Arizona to work both with young boys and girls of Sereno and other youth players from surrounding areas.
Campers enjoyed a fun-packed program that included individual technical work, group technical/tactical practices and team small-sided-games. Threaded throughout the week was a “Team challenge program” which proved to be tremendously popular with all the athletes. This skill-based program tested the players’ technical capabilities as well as teaching some important life-skills.
This event is the first in a series of planned activities between Sereno Soccer Club and development partner Chelsea FC. The EPL club’s Head of International Technical Youth Development, Jeff Bookman, commented: "All of the Chelsea FC staff were impressed with the quality, enthusiasm and commitment of the campers. We look forward to many more opportunities to share our soccer knowledge and experience with all of our partner clubs across the USA”
