Quincy Wento of the '92 Boys White receives invite to train and compete as part of U.S. All-Star Team with the Chelsea Football Club!
Quincy Wento was recently named to Disney’s Soccer Showcase All-Star Team, which will travel to England this summer to compete with teams from across the world. Wento, 15, of Sereno Soccer Club’s 92 White team was among 18 Disney all-stars invited by English Premier League team Chelsea Football Club to train and compete at the club’s world-class facilities near London. The All-Star Team, comprised of players from across the United States, will compete in the inaugural Chelsea FC Youth Cup in August 2008.
“We witnessed a very high standard of young American talent during Disney's Soccer Showcase. Through our partnerships with Disney and Adidas, we are able to bring these All-Stars to London to train and compete at the Chelsea Academy – which we believe is one of the leading soccer academies in the world. This gives a chance to some of the best U.S. young players to experience competition against other top teams and also demonstrates how football can bring different cultures and nationalities together,” said Eddie Newton, Chelsea Academy under 16 team coach.
Players were selected based on their performances at Disney’s Soccer Showcase, the premier youth soccer tournament in the U.S.
“These players represent some of the best young talent in America and this rare opportunity to experience one of the leading soccer academies in the world will be invaluable in the development of their soccer careers. This is just one of the many ways players who compete in Disney's Soccer Showcase will benefit from our association with the prestigious Chelsea Football Club,” said Mike Millay, Director of Sports Events for Disney Sports Attractions.

'92 and '93 Girls to Play in Red Bull's National League
Sereno is pleased to announce that the Club's '92 and '93 Girls White teams have been invited to be among the "Elite Eighteen" to compete in Red Bull's National League starting in August! The Elite Eighteen is comprised of teams from the nation's very best club programs. U16 and U15 tournaments will take place August 10-12, 2007 in Danville, California, and March 14-16, 2008 in Las Vegas. The final event will take place next May in Zarepath, New Jersey. 2006/2007 Club Results
Sereno Soccer Club congratulates its teams for another successful season in 2006/2007! The Club had thirteen (13) Arizona State Champions, one (1) Arizona State finalist, and a total 28 teams placing in the top 6 in their age groups. Sereno was proud to send eleven (11) teams to the Region IV tournament in Las Vegas, with eight (8) teams reaching the quarterfinal rounds, four (4) teams reaching the semi-final rounds, and two (2) crowned as Region IV Champions ('88 Girls White & '92 Boys White). Both teams went on to finish third at the Nationals tournament in Frisco, Texas.
